Like most vegan manufacturers, we produce a wide range of products. However, our many years of experience, expertise and quality set us apart from the other vegan manufacturers. Schouten was the first Dutch company to focus on developing vegetarian and vegan food products, starting in 1990. Since then, we have become active in over 50 countries across the globe. We have a presence in the UK, the USA, the Middle East, as well as Central America and Africa. We supply our products through various channels such as food service, industry, and retail.

Schouten currently develops and produces delicious, nutritious, high-quality plant-based meat substitutes, ranging from vegan vegan falafel to vegan mince, from ketjap tempeh cubes to our unique vegan vegetable schnitzel with a crunchy crust.

Product development of vegetarian and vegan products
As a vegan manufacturer and supplier of vegan products, we’re at the centre of the market. This means we know what consumers are looking for and are up-to-date with the latest trends and developments. We also have a specialised product development team. As a meat substitute producer, every day we’re working to improve our range.
Packaging options
We can supply a range of consumer packaging, both chilled and frozen, as well as food service boxes weighing 2 – 10 kilos. Packaging is available entirely with your company/brand’s design, or products can be supplied in our own packaging. We are also able to supply our vegetarian and vegan products in bulk. Quality
As a vegan manufacturer, all of our production sites are BRC and IFC certified. We’re also a member of the RSPO and RTRS, international platforms which develop sustainable palm oil and soya and put their policies into practice. We procure our soya using sustainable RSPO credits.
